Oregon Collectors Association Scholarship is Available!

Since 1985, the Oregon Collectors Association (ORCA) has been fortunate to present scholarships to Oregon high school seniors who were going to college somewhere in Oregon.  Since that time, ORCA has delivered over $200,000 to graduating seniors destined or Oregon colleges and trade schools.  The Hasson-Newman Memorial Scholarship has always been tied to only two things: 1) Oregon seniors going to Oregon colleges or trade schools and 2) the quality of their essay submitted.  The Scholarship Board has announce a change to the requirements starting for the 2019 school year: the winners must be  children or grandchildren of Oregon Collection Association’s members, affiliate members & out of state member agency owners, managers, employees or agency clients. 

This means if you are a Southern client your child or grandchild can apply for this scholarship! First prize is $4000 and second prize is $3000!  Requirements are:

Scholarship recipients must start attendance within 12 months of the award and show proof of enrollment for a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Essay subject is to be 1,000 to 1,500 words: Subject “Credit In The 21st Century”.
